HOTEL HEAVEN - LA SUITE, RIO DE JANEIRO

So family Lemon are all under the weather over here in Amsterdam so my mind has been wandering to happier times and warmer climes when the baby didn't have a viral infection (actually to be honest there was no baby), I had no sodding cold and the husband wasn't running a hot fever. Whilst looking for a picture for an upcoming blog post I found photos of an amazing hotel that we were lucky enough to stay in on our honeymoon so I'm taking a moment to wish I was back here...

Horizon Pool (La Suite website)

It's called LA SUITE - (Joatinga, Rio de Janeiro) and is run by a super cool gay couple with amazing taste. It's the kind of decor that would be slightly too bold for me ever to have in my (make-believe) house but perfect to ogle over in a hotel escape.There are just 7 rooms so it really is "boutique" and since we visited they have put in an infinity pool that looks back towards the city (above). Honestly, it's incredible.

In testament to how cool the hotel is, on day one the husband (who isn't very keen on lie ins) gets up super early, borrows a surfboard from the hotel and goes down to the beach. When he gets back he rushes in to inform me that there is the hottest woman he's ever seen is upstairs wearing just a dressing gown and red lipstick and being photographed. Turns out there is a shoot for Playboy going on in the hotel (just what every girl wants to happen on first day of honeymoon).
